When all else fails......

Hey people.  So ,I was thinking it was high time I posted an entry, but am feeling rather lazy, so I took the easy way out.  I did this on Face.Book last week and chose to post it here.  Lazy I know.  I'm sitting in the Service department at the dealership getting an oil change and ever so happy that it's been under and hour and it looks like I'll be out of here in a few short minutes.  Yeay!!!!  And I'm even happier they didn't come telling me I needed umpteen million things done. 

Anyway on to.......

25 Random Things:

1. I am SO pissed off at face.book because I was almost done with my 25 things and accidentally hit the back arrow and lost it all.  Now I'm starting from scratch.  ARGH!!!!

2. I was born on the South side of Chicago Illinois November 7, 1970.  So glad we moved away.

3.  Miss REALLY my very bestest friends Dinah and Carlita and wish I could just pick them up and move them with me to the state of my choosing.  I'm still working on Carlita trying to get her and her Hubby to move to TX with us when we hopefully move this summer or fall.  *crossing fingers*  Life is so odd not being able to see them on a regular basis. 

4.  I used to get in to fights on a VERY regular basis in elementary school and high school.  People would never know this about me.  I seriously never started any of these fights though., I just had a bad temper and was somewhat of a hot head.  I was a pretty good kid.  Yall can ask my Mommy.

5. I Find that the older I get the less tolerance I have for nonsense.  I used to live by "don't sweat the small stuff" but the older I get the more the small stuff drives me ABSOLUTELY crazy.  I'm trying really hard to work on this. Lol

6.  I lived in 6 different states in 2006.  So many things went wrong during that year, but what made it all worth it was marrying my Best friend, Hubby and the love of my life that December.  I would do it all a million times over.

7.  I love the theater and for years wanted to audition for plays, but couldn't summon up the courage.  Now I feel like I'm too old.  I wish there had someone to really encourage me to follow my dreams when I was younger. 

8.  I really hate my job more and more as each day passes and really feel like it's time for me to go back to school.  I really don't think it's the LOGICAL thing to do with my 2nd oldest starting college in the fall.  PLEASE let this child get some great scholarships.  All the more reason why the latter part of 7 holds true for me.

9.  I think it's crazy that I'm 38 years old and don't know what I want to be when I grow up. 

10.  I love my children to death and couldn't imagine my life without them.  It’s hard having my oldest in Maryland hundreds of miles away, and will have another hundreds of miles away in just a few short months.  UGH!!!  I cry when I think about them getting older and reminisce frequently on when they were little.  I love that they've all grown into wonderful young adults (well only 2 so far the others 11, 11 and 3 are still growing.  Lol), but still miss them being mommy's babies.   

11.  I love that people are constantly surprised by the ages of my kiddies and never believe me when I tell them my age. 

12.  I used to get really depressed about my weight from about ages 10-20 and used to have a very poor self image.  I used to think I was too thin and pray that I would gain weight.  Now I’m praying that I could lose weight.  If I only knew then what I know now……

13.  I SWEAR if Facebook eats my words again I'm going to SCREAM.  I keep saving what I write, but I guess I. have. to. do. that. after. every. freaking. WORD!!!!!  Ok, why was I not smart enough to write this out in word first and then cut and paste. Silly me.

14.  I can’t believe Hubby and I have never taken a real vacation TOGETHER and think that we need to make that a priority this year.  I really need some serious alone time with just me and him away from reality for just a little while. Not too much to ask for right.

15.  I am SO addicted to reality TV.  I think I need therapy. 

16.  I can’t believe how much I used to drink and go out in my late 20’s and very early 30’s.  I have had several drunken experiences that I need to get my butt beat for; ie. Getting drunk at Banana Joes, losing my purse with $300 in it (most likely while in the bathroom puking) and having to be carried to the car because I was so drunk. Finally to be driven home, where I passed out only to awaken under my dinning room table.  None of which I remember.  I blame it on the Long Island Iced Teas.  HORIFFIC, I know. 

17.   I was just saying how much I love my kids, now I’m extremely mad at one of them for KNOWING he was going to need a ride home but NOT saying anything until the last minute. so NOW I have to get out of my warm comfy bed and go to pick him up at from his friends house across town.  What makes me even more upset is I have to work tomorrow and had no intent on leaving the house once I was home and settled.   Freaking kid!!!! 

18.  I have a tendency to procrastinate.  This is a very bad habit.

19.  I love old movies.  I’m talking black and white old.  I love a good Cary Grant movie.  He was very hilarious, not to mention pretty handsome.  Shhhh! I also used to love the Jerry Lewis (no jokes please) and Dean Martin , Abbott and Costello, Bob Hope movies.  I could go on and name so many, but….

20.  I have a hard time these days staying awake past 9 o’clock.  I’m sleepy right now.  Maybe I should have said 8 because I’m ready for bed right now and its only 8:26.  Pitiful I know.

21.  I Am deathly afraid of birds, bugs and any kind of creepy crawly slimy creatures.  I’m feeling a little anxious just thinking about it.  Gross!

22.  I changed my name in 2006 from Gerri A. Hill (take note people) to Amira Nyahmbi Hill.  Many people that have met me after my name was changed have no idea what it was previously or that it was ever anything other than Amira. I hated my name growing up and couldn’t understand WHAT my mother was thinking. 

23.  I have an obsession with pajamas.  I don’t know where it came from or why, but I’m always wanting to buy them anytime I go shopping.  My puppy made me want to spank her little puppy but when she got into the laundry basket and ate my favorite purple snoopy pjs.  I guess she was in heat.  Lol.  Get it???  Lol.  Bad joke huh?

24.  I get up at 4 am every morning and still can’t manage to make it on time to work.  What’s even worse is that I only work 10 minutes away from home and don’t have to be there until 6.  Something is very wrong with this picture.  I think it may be my lack of enthusiasm for my job.

25.  I am calling it a night folks.  It’s rolling up on 9 so yall know what that means right.  Lol

Ok, 25 no longer applies since it's another day, but whatever.  Lol.  Hope everyone had a fantabulous weekend and have and even better week.
