Valentines day

posted Sunday, 15 February 2009

Hey blog family!  I hope everyone had a wonderful Valentines day and an enjoyable weekend as well.

Hubby surprised me at work with lunch and a VS gift card.  HOORAY!!!!  I'm gonna get my shop on tomorrow and I can't wait.  Him and the K3 came to visit me and we ate lunch, then off they went to do the weekly grocery shopping and have some Daddy Son time.  They are so cute.  He also bought me some new headphones for my Ipod since a certain little fluffy critter got hold of mine and ate them to pieces.

I don't know what possessed me to leave my purse out on the dining table, but she pulled on the table cloth enough get my purse to fall off the table and the contents of my purse were ALL OVER the dang floor.  My ipod was in my purse because I take it to work with me.  Had she managed to eat that she would have found her little self at the local humane society.  Lol. Just kidding.  I love that little puppy, but she is too dang old to be chewing stuff up.  SO, not only did she eat my head phones, she at my wallet and chewed on some of my credit cards and drivers license,  a pack of Kleenex, my Bath and body.works sweet pea lotion, and my Mac lipgloss.  UGH!!!!   So my lips wont be poppin!  Lol

We used to let Baby (the puppy) sleep in our room but since she likes to chew on any and everything she can find so we put her in her kennel at night.  Me and Hubby went to bed before everyone that night (who am I kidding, not just THAT night,  every night. LOL) and both the kids swear that K2 had put her in the Kennel before they went to bed.  HOW in the HECK did she escape????  I was SOOOOO mad.  And it's so funny because when she knows she's done something wrong she'll go run to her kennel.  It makes me feel so sad some times and not want to scold her because she'll be sitting in there looking so sad and innocent.  Poor puppy.

Ok, I really did digress..... So anyway, I was happy to get my new headphones because I was using the ones that came with my ipod and those just are NOT the move.  I hate those things.  He bought me some more of the ones that I had that have a volume control on them and they have different size earbuds to actually fit in my ear.  I guess I have tiny ears or something cause all the other ones are too big and these come with tiny ones that actually fit.  YEAY!!!!

Hubby also made me dinner.  He made grilled Salmon, a pasta with cherry tomatoes and some other stuff on it.  I don't know, but it was delicious.  And then he made a greek salad with romaine lettuce, olives, peppers, tomatoes and dressing that he made himself.  It was so good I think I want a salad right now.  Then the dessert.  OH MY GOSH!!!! Yall!!!!  That man!!!!  It was these Chocolate little individual cakes (from scratch) with chocolate sauce, strawberries and whip cream.  It tasted like heaven.  The cake was chewy almost like a brownie, but it had a little crunch in it too.  I was the best dessert ever.  I just ate some more  a little bit ago and I'm so sad it's gone.  Then we ended up watching movies and hubby fell asleep. I woke him up with a nice little Valentines day surprise, but I wont go into detail about that.  Lol

A guy at my job does stand up and he is super funny.  I've never seen him do stand up but hes got jokes all day everyday at work.  He invited us to this open mic thing he was doing on Friday Night.  I wanted to go, but had mixed feelings because it didn't start until 11 and I had to be at work on Saturday by 6am.  I figured what the heck, it was an opportunity for me and Hubby to get out for a few minutes and to give dude some support so we decided to go.

It was alright.  He wasn't as funny as he is at work, but it was open mic, no planned material or anything soit was cool.  The other people....lets just say some of them got a few chuckles out of me but for the most part I was soooo embarrassed for most of them.  I was like shoot, I need to brush off my little comedy routine and give it a try.  I would have done better than some of them.  But like Hubby said you have to give them props for even taking the chance to get up there in front of a bunch of people and do their thing.  That takes courage.  So true.  The next day at work, dude was like, if it was a paid show I'd be giving you your money back right now.  LOL.  It was cool.

Hubby was up with me at around 5am Saturday morning, so I felt bad because I know he was tired.  Especially since he gets up by 2:15 or 2:30 everyday.   Needless to say, I don't think we'll be going OUT that late anymore unless there is nothing going on the following day.  I got off early Saturday.  Right after I came back in from lunch (which was at 11:00 am since my lunch break is scheduled at 10:30, stupid I know) they said I could go home.  I was going to meet up with Hubby, but since he was probably about 15 minutes away I decided to just go home.  I fell out for about 2 hours.  Then went to sleep when they got back from the store for another 2 or 3 hours.  Lol I was SO surprised the baby let me sleep.  I woke up and he was in the bed next to me asleep.  Too cute.  I don't even know how or when he got in the bed with me.

Usually on the weekends we rent movies and the last few weeks or so I have seen the funniest movies I have ever seen.  The first one was My Best Friends Girl. Hilarious!!!  I don't know how I missed this at the movies.  I kind of like the Jason Biggs guy and Kate Hudson has always been funny to me, although she made me a little mad in this movie.  The next one was Pineapple Express.  I didn't think this was going to be funny the first 10 or 15 minutes but after that it was non stop laughs.  Then the last one we watched was Miri and Zack Make a Porno .  We saw it in the video store and I was like 'naaaw!!! It looks so bootleg and low budget from the cover.' but Hubby grabbed it anyway.  This ENTIRE movie was freaking funny as heck.  I couldn't stop laughing.  The Black guy in the movie was also in Pineapple Express and he cracked me up.  I never heard of ANY of these movies until we rented them, but I swear we're buying ALL three, they were just that funny.  Now any comedy I see is going to suck in comparisson.  Anyway, if you guys haven't seen these and you like stupid comedies, you have to watch them.  It was great stuff.

I'm not going to tell you how many times I've eaten this since yesterday.  Apparently the process to bake and prepare this took awhile.  This is going to be my dessert for all occasions.

Alright, hope yall enjoyed the pics and your weekend.  We're about to make another attempt to watch this movie.  We've tried twice and keep falling asleep. Maybe 3 times will be the charm.  Lol

@ Lady. Yeah, it was cool. The desert was so delicious. Hubby made it again this past weekend. I'm going to burn myself out on it cause I'll be trying to get him to make it at every opportunity. Lol. You HAVE to see the movies. They were the funniest movies I've seen in a long long time. If you get them, let me know what you think.

Our hubbies were cast from the same mold, I swear! Kitchen skillz to the max! I love it! So glad he spoiled you!

Great photos! I hear you on the pet crimes... we have a pest in our house too. It's a cat with urinary behavioral problems though. We lock him up at night too.
