Hey blog family. It's been a HOT HOT minute since I've taken the time to blog. I have to blame a lot of it on face book. I seem to be spending way too much time on face book and no time tending to my blog. Hope everyone still loves me. *wink*
Anyway there's not much to update you all on since I've blogged last. My lap top is officially out of commission so that's another reason I haven't taken time to blog. I have to kick hubby off his computer to get online or use the kids computer and that sucks. Plus I'm so partial to my lap top and being mobile I don't like using desk tops anymore. I looked into getting my lap top fixed and they were talking about around $800. I'm like HECK NO!!!! As much as I want to, and am sad about all the info on my computer that's going to be gone FOREVER, I just cant see myself paying that. If that's the case, I can just add a few more hundred to it and buy a new computer. So... for now I'm computerless. SO SAD!!!
B went to prom on the 25th of April. It was an emotional day for me along with the fact that he 18 the week before that so I was a wreck. We took tons of pictures and had all the family over to the house for a little pre prom celebratory dinner and took a GANG of pictures. Hubby downloaded them on his computer and WHY did he get another freaking virus that wiped EVERYTHING off his computer. So now we have to wait to get pictures from our Aunts and sis-in-laws camera. I'm so angry because we KNOW from past experience that we need to back everything up immediately, but didn't take the time to do it so not only did we lose his prom pictures but ALL the pictures we've taken over the past few months. You think we would have learned our lesson by now.
K3 is playing basketball again. She decided to join her schools b-ball team. I'm surprised because when she played before she somewhat just lost interest in it, as kids often do. But then she was only like 8 at the time. Their team is in the playoffs so she's super excited. I had to threaten her because for some reason she has felt the need to slack on her homework and come to find out she has several missing assignments in a few of her classes. I do NOT play when it comes to their grades and homework and told her that she would not play anymore if she didn't bring me something from ALL her teachers today saying she was caught up on everything and showing what her current grade was for each class. She was working like a mad woman all weekend trying to get stuff done. I'm PISSED that it even got to that point and wondering how in the heck she has missing assignments in the first place when she does homework EVERY night. She's also doing the Shakespeare festival again this year and I threatened to not allow her to participate in that either. Hopefully she'll keep her stuff together for the remainder of the school year. I can't believe there's only like 2 or 3 weeks left. B's last day before graduation is the end of this week. *tear* Gosh my kids are growing up.
Oh......and speaking of B he's been accepted to 3 different colleges so far. He's already decided that he's going to attend University of Colorado at Denver. I wish that, since we are planning on moving to Texas, that I could have convinced him to attend there, but I guess him going somewhere HE is going to be happy is all that matters. Someone pointed that out to me several moths ago and it was a very good point. So now we're dealing with the financial aspect of him going to school which is completely stressing me out, but I'm more excited for him and proud that he's even taking that next step. He's been more enthused about driving now which is cool so hopefully by time he starts school in the fall he'll have his license, not to say that he'll have a car. Lol. I'm so proud of my son, I can't believe I will have two children out of the house. That makes me want to cry every time I think about it. Hubby is like "shoot they ALL need to hurry up and move out." Silly butt!!!!!
Ok, that's it for me yall, I'll try not to take so much time off in between blog entries, but hey, you guys know how it is. But hey, if someone want's to buy me a lap top I PROMISE I'll blog every day. LOL. I think I'm about to enjoy my last few hours of peace and quiet by going to get a pedicure. I SOOOOO need one. You all enjoy your weeks and hopefully I'll be back at you before the week is out.
Peace and Blessings!!!!!!!!
Amira, I hope you know you are an amazing mother! Those sweet and talented
kiddos of yours are very blessed to have had you nurturing them along. I
am sure it's so hard to say good-bye to another one leaving the nest. It
sounds like he'll be great at whatever he chooses!
A few more hundred?? WTF... Where do you shop? D bought a pretty nice
laptop for $600 brand new. Hit up a sale chicka!
Now that he is accepted into a college he wants he must start hitting those
scholarships hard. He is going to have to write some essays (which I hate
personally) but the money is there. Then add the fact that he is a young
man of color. Some schools are starving for that and have incentives and
programs to help him get through and graduate. Make sure he (or you and the
Hubby) have a nice long talk with the folks in the financial aid office.
Hey Gurl, sorry long time no visit.I hope you got my message!
Ok everybody, I had comment's from everyone and apparently blogcity thinks
I'm spam and deleted everything. And I really don't feel like retyping my
comments to everyone. Maybe when my head is hurting less or I'm feeling
less lazy I'll respond to everyone. In the meantime, LOVE YOU
ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!
