Happy Friday Fam! I'm So Happy it's Friday. One more day of work and then I can officially start my weekend. I didn't think I was going to make it through the week. I'm exhausted and for the 2nd night in a row I will be in bed before 9 O'clock and I'm sure I'll be asleep the minute my head hits the pillow.
Ok, so the reason for this entry is this right here:
my little oreo eater
This picture really doesn't do K3's hair justice. It's hard to tell when it's up how long it was. If my hair had been that long I probably NEVER would have cut it. We had been getting flack from the in-laws about him being 3 and us not cutting his hair. He was constantly being mistaken for a girl. Not that any of that would make me succomb to the pressure and cut it. What I WAS tired of is the constant fighting when I wash or comb it which is why it was always in ponytails or a big puff. It was too time consuming in the morning having to comb ALL that hair, my hair and K2's hair and having to be out the door no later than 5:45. I like my sleep too much and didn't wan to have to get up any earlier to make it to work by 6. So I finally KIND OF gave in.
This past Sunday Hubby was getting ready to cut B's hair. We were all in the kitchen because that's where he usually cuts B's hair. I jokingly told K3 'Tell Daddy you need a haircut too.' I turned around to do something really quick and by the time I turned back around he had snipped a piece of K3's ponytail. It was just a little bit on the end, not enough to where anyone would even notice, but I told him to just go ahead and cut it. Hubby said "You KNOW you don't want to cut his hair." but I told him it was fine and to just do it. WHY when he was cutting it did my eyes well and I had to do my best to stop the tears from falling. So this was the outcome of the first haircut:

and then this is the 2nd haircut on Wednesday
So it's going to take some time to train his hair to lay right. Hubby keeps getting mad (well not really mad, but I think I'm getting on his nerves) because I keep calling K3 Baby Gorilla Monkey. LMAO. His hair reminds me of a gorilla the way it grows at the top. See here an example:
See, same head. Lol. It's cute though, but I just miss his little ponytails and his little curly curls. The hair cut makes him look too much like a big boy and I'm not ready for that yet. Oh well. I guess they have to grow up some time huh? I cant wait to see the families reaction on Thanksgiving. No one knows we cut it yet except my Mother in law. We went by there on Sunday and no one else was around and she told me not to say anything to let it be a surprise. We'll have to take video and pictures so you all can see everyones reactions. I know it's going to be pure C.O.M.E.D.Y.
Ok, that's it for me. I'm off to bed. Yall have a good weekend. Nighty Night!!!
Oh you wrong for that gorilla pic!!! LMAO!!!
oh, and D's already talking about trimming X's hair...waaaah! I like his
cute little curls!! I'll probably tear up at his 1st haircut too...
@ Mamba: Ok, GREAT so you totally understand where I'm coming from. UGH!
I'm sure D HAS to be talking about when he's older, much older, not now
right.
OKay I will admit, he looks like a girl in the first pic. I am going to
need you to stop with the money names ight. LOL!
I think its against the rules to call your baby a monkey. I read that in
the parents manual. LOL
@ Lady: I have to admit it sometimes too. All my boys were mistaken for
girls and WHY was my daughter mistaken for a boy when she was a baby. What
the heck!!!!
Lawd...
You know I can't spell! LOL! I meant monkey :-)
LMAO @ the gorilla pic...what a cutie pie. awwwwwww you finally took the
scissors to it...but it looks great.
